There is no simple answer to your question. Range bars are not dependent on time in any way at all, so there is no equivalent to a time based chart. A smaller range bar size will form new bars more frequently than a larger size, but the number of bars depends on price movement of the market you are charting.
I don't trade forex, so cannot make any useful suggestions other than to study different range sizes on your charts and see which forms clear CCI patterns. |

I am testing range bars now with the forex market. I use MetaTrader 4 for forex trading. I was in trade room recently and asked Woodie if he had any values to use. He said to try 20 (tics). It looks like it is a good valid number, and I get good woodie cci patterns.
